Who Is The Holy Spirit?

Have you ever wondered who is the Holy Spirit?

He is God, the third person of the Godhead. He is the power which created the Earth.

Since the beginning of time, God made the power and the person of the Holy Spirit very clear.

According to the Bible, the Holy Spirit is the first manifestation of the Godhead in Scripture. Please allow me to show you who is the Holy Spirit.

the History of Creation "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The Earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters."
-Genesis 1:1-2 (NKJV)

Who is the Holy Spirit? He is the One who gave us life.

When God formed Adam out of the dust, He began by moulding a piece of mud. That mud was completely lifeless until the breath of life came.

"And the Lord formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being."
-Genesis 2:7 (NKJV)

The instance God breathed into the mud, Adam came alive. When he opened his eyes, the first person he had contact with was the Holy Spirit. The breath that gave Adam life was, and still is, the Holy Spirit.

Who is the Holy Spirit? He is the one which created the heavens.

Here is how Job described the Spirit of God,

"The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the Almighty gives me life."
-Job 33:4 (NKJV)

"By His Spirit He adorned the heavens..."
-Job 26:13 (NKJV)

It is clear that it was the Holy Spirit who has the power to give life and the power which created the heavens.

What is even more thrilling is that God wants to take that same Spirit, who created the universe, and give Him to me and you! He wants to "pour' the Holy Spirit on us!

"Until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, And the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, And the fruitful field is counted as a forest."
-Isial 32:15 (NKJV)

Knowing who is the Holy Spirit, the One with the power, the cause of all creations revolutionized my christian life.

Since then, He have speaking to me,encouraging me and strengthening me in my daily life.

Have you ever heard God speaking to you? Many people have, even before they became christians. Exactly who was speaking? Was it God the Father? Jesus the son? Or God the Holy Spirit?

My spiritual life was transformed when I found out who is the Holy Spirit. I was never taught that the Holy Spirit is God, equal to the Father and Jesus the Son.

Who Is The Holy Spirit? Is He Jehovah?

He is equal to Jesus, he is no less than God the Father. He is Jehovah.

Jehova is the name of the triune being, the 3 persons of the Godhead. The heavenly Father is called Jehovah. Jesus the Son of God is Jehovah. The Holy Spirit is also called Jehovah.

I remember when I was a young christian, I asked, "How can there be only one God? There is God the Father, there is Jesus His Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Isn't that 3 Gods?" You bet that I was confused! *Laughs* Praise God that he is not the author of confusion!

God is one, but God is also 3 at the same time. Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Let me illustrate who is the Holy Spirit with a natural occurance.

God is like the sun outside your window. If you look at the sun (please don't try this!), you will see only one sun. One light source.

The truth, however, is a triune sun that keeps every birds that fly, every fish that swim and every living thing alive.

There are 3 parts to the sun you see. They are the sun itself, the light and the heat.

It is also true with the trinity God. Our heavenly Father is like the entire sun, Jesus is the light you see, and the Holy Spirit is the warmth you feel.

When you are worshipping the Father in church, or when you are praying to the father in your room, what do you feel? You feel the love, energy and power of the Holy Spirit.

If you look at the face of the Father, you see Jesus, which is the glory and the shining light.

In the book of John, Jesus said to Philip His disciple, "He who has seen Me has seen the Father.." -John 14:9 (NKJV)

Have you met with the Father? Do you want to meet with Him?

You can only go the the Father through Jesus.

"No one comes to the Father except through Me."
-John 14:6 (NKJV)

The bible also teaches that it is the Holy Spirit who will reveal about Jesus the Son and God the Father.

"However, when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is mine and declares it to you.
-John 16:13-14 (NKJV)

Jesus is the only one that can lead to the Father, and the Holy Spirit is the only one that can lead you to jesus.

Who is the Holy Spirit? He is the one that will ultimately lead you to the Father because of Jesus.

Centuries ago, the scribes and pharisees wanted a relationship with God, apart from Jesus. Now, so many christians want a relationship with Jesus, apart from the Holy Spirit, which is totally impossible.

Who is the Holy Spirit? We all confess that jesus is our Saviour and Lord. If the Holy Spirit is also the Spirit of Jesus, He is also Lord.

The Holy Spirit is everywhere, He is omnipresent. But why are so many churches lacking the power of the Holy Spirit in their services? Why are people not touched in the service? Why is it so dry and dead?

Because the Holy Spirit is not Lord in the church. They try so hard to grow the church, but they do not try to know the Holy Spirit more. They do not know who is the Holy Spirit

Friends, if you really want to enjoy an intimate relationship with God the Father and Jesus the son, you first need to know who is the Holy Spirit!

Knowing who the Holy Spirit really is, you will begin to love Him more and more. He will tell you how good is Jesus, how much Jesus really loves you.

He will tell you all about Abba Daddy, our Father who is in heaven, who loves you so much that He is willing to sacrifice is only Son to save your soul.

We love God because He first loved us. He sacrificed for us.

Right now, the Holy Spirit wants to enter into your life.

He wants your attention. He wants to reveal to you the visions and dreams He has for you.

He wants you to know how much He really loves you...

Friend, if you are ready to know who is the Holy Spirit, and to invite Him into your life, pray with me..

Dear Father in heaven, we thank you for revealing the nature of your Spirit to us.

I pray that you will fill us with the Holy Spirit, the same Spirit who dwells in Jesus.

Show us your great love you have for us. Lord we no longer want to lead a life without your presence.

But a life filled with the presence and glory of the Holy Spirit.

Reveal to us the things you have installed for us, that we may be focus in what we should do.

Let us not just know the word of God, but we want to know God of the head.

Come Holy Spirit, we surrender ourselves to you right now. Help us to submit to your leading.

Let us be so sensitive to your small still voice, prosper our steps as we live to glorify you.

I pray all these in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
