Secret Of Abundance
This is a wonderful promise and it can be found in the middle of two chapters where the apostle Paul spoke about the secret of abundance. What is the secret? It is by giving and sowing your finances.
The apostle encouraged the Corinthian believers to increase in their giving. Paul prayed that the Corinthians would sow greatly so that they also might reap greatly. And he encouraged them to be cheerful givers.
This principle of sowing and reaping is found throughout the Bible (Gen. 8:22). It does not apply only to farming but also
to every aspect of our life. Paul said, "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also
reap" (Gal. 6:7).
The Scriptures says that when we give our money, a seed is sown. There are good willed christians who say that we should not
give with the intention of receiving something in return, and that we should not expect anything in return. But Jesus said,
"Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your
bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you" (Luke 6:38).

We give not only in obedience to God, but also out of our love for God. We should not expect anything in return from people.
But every farmer knows that when he sows into good soil, he will reap a harvest in due season. Paul said that this principle
applies to our giving as well. If we sow abundantly, we also shall reap abundantly.
We can expect a harvest from God, and the Word of God challenges us to expect an abundant harvest if we have sown abundantly.
"But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So
let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver" (2 Cor. 9:6-7).
It is God's purpose that we should be liberal and cheerful givers, so that we can enter into His supernatural abundant blessings, which in turn, can be used to bless others. So, be a committed, liberal and loving giver, then we will be blessed so that we can be a blessing to others!
